Speak Up and Be Heard

I salute my husband for the effort he exerted in calling our utility companies and insurance providers to check if they have a great offer for us being a great customer. Of course, just like any man, he doesn't like being stuck on the phone while waiting to be transferred to the right department. I bet the waiting sucks, poor thing! Anyway, to make the long story short, he successfully negotiated the perfect deals for us for all of our utilities and insurances. It is indeed true that most companies are just waiting for their customer to call and make inquiries/demands. If you don't ask, they don't tell you! For instance, I've heard a lot of people telling me how they get a cheap car insurance. I asked them how did they come across such a great deal, they said they call and ask. So if you think you are paying too much for your utilities or insurance, pick up your phone and call your provider. It is also important to do your own search for comparison purposes. Trust me, most companies are willing to do whatever they can to keep their great customers. So, ask and make sure keeping their service is worthy! :-)
