My Christmas, Your Christmas

It is a day after Christmas. How is everyone? How was your Christmas? I hope everyone is doing great and happy! I know life is difficult these days but I hope that you all find ways to make your Christmas celebration merrier and memorable. For me and family, we had a blast. My sister-in-law hosted our Christmas party this year. Family members were having a chitchat while waiting for some food to get ready. Then we had dinner, we opened our gifts and we played games. It was fun! Even if I am not in my homeland, but my family here makes me feel home. I am so grateful with them for that!

To everyone here in the blogosphere, MERRY, MERRY CHRISTMAS and a HAPPY NEW YEAR!

Be On Shape

Several people including my dear hubby complains that he already gained weight from eating a lot of food since last Thanksgiving and the weekly party we have with our Fil-Am friends. I know that many of you out there are also experiencing the same weight gain. Yes, it is really difficult to be on diet during Holidays considering all the food the family cook to celebrate the special days of the year. Going to the gym regularly will help shed off those fats, sugar and carbohydrates that you intake but if you are busy at work I know it is difficult. Have you heard about Anoretix diet pills? Maybe this could help you after the holiday to go back on shape...

Just A Thought...

I know I have been lazy again this past couple of days that's why I am not here again often in this blog. Moreover, I was also freeking busy at work that I felt very tired and no energy alreay to sit down in front of my computer when I get home; instead, I just hopped right away to bed. Gooosshh! Well, so much on my laziness chuchu guys... Today, I am very excited today because in the next two days I will be off. Yahooo!!! Well, that also means I will have more time to sit down infront of my computer and do my online stuff especially blogging. However, for now, I need to sign out. I just arrived from a terribly busy night at work. I do need a good rest now. See you tomorrow guys! Good night!

Oh, Las Vegas!

I had my first visit to Las Vegas on July this year. It was summer and the burning hot temperature of Las Vegas never fail to welcome us just when we step out from the airport. Despite of the uncomfortable hotness that we experienced, my Las Vegas experience is one of a kind. The Strip Las Vegas where we spent our 6 days was absolutely beautiful. The hotels are just so amazing and the ambience of the place. I love the castle-like structure of Excalibur, the fantastic watershow at Bellagio, the Paris-tower at Paris hotel, the pyramid/Egypt inspired Lexur hotel and of course the world-reknown hotel when it comes to great boxing bouts, MGM Grand Hotel. Oh, we had a blast with our 3-night stay at MGM Grand Hotel. One thing, during your next trip, don't forget to enjoy the 1-hour cruise at Lake Mead. If you love being close to nature, you will definitely love it.

Be Safe with Security Systems

In these days, burglary is very rampant all over the country. Our house that we thought the safest place we can be is not that way at all because of the fear that there might be people who will break in the house. Hence, the use of security systems is very important. It is advisable to put one in every household. Base on experience, it will truly give me and my husband peace and good night sleep knowing that at least we have our security system to sound in case intruders will pry our privacy. For husbands who are travelling so often, having a security system in your home can keep your family safe. To have one is indeed a good deal!

On Icy Night

It's been 3 days now since we have this freezing temperature. Yeah, dude it is freaking cold right now. Roads especially the overpass and the bridges become icy every now and then especially late at night. Driving is very dangerous if you are not being careful. Two nights ago, I saw a lot of accidents and cars spinning because of the icy roads. Yes, it was very scary. I keep on reminding my hubby not to drive fast. We were moving at only 10-15mph. I think I arrived home faster than walking. However, I won't dare to go out the car in that freezing night. The slate shower worsen the situation. So, to everyone, be very careful and be very attentive in driving during these days of the year. Beware of accidents, it is almost Christmas and New Year is soon to come and we are here to celebrate not to mourn if in case something bad happened to our loved ones in the road.

Sweat That Fat

Because of the busy schedule I have at work, I didn't have the luxury of time to go to the gym; hence, hubby thought of buying a treadmill or elliptical. He said by having an exercise equipment at home, I will have no reason already to jump into it. Fair enough, it is not only intended for me, he needs more to sweat some of the weight that he thought he gained for the last couple of days. Hubby was thinking of checking Pro-Form as his friend said that he got his from this online store. I will let you know if he will push through this plan or not. Well, I am not against it since it is for the good of both of us.

This Christmas!

Just 12 more days to go and it's already Christmas Day! Are you done with your Christmas shopping? If you do, good for you! If not then you aren't alone. Believe it or not, we haven't start yet with even a single gift. For hubby and I, we need to buy 4 gifts for the family Christmas Party. Such a long way to go for us in buying Christmas gifts!

Last year, I miss to enjoy Christmas and New Years Day since I just started with my job and being a neophyte, as what we are accustomed of, I have to take the shifts that the other employees wish not to work. But now that I am in the company for a year, I already have the chance to ask for off during holidays. Oh, I was already informed that I will be off on Christmas and New Years Day! Finally, I will have the chance to celebrate these days with my hubby and family. I am just so excited!!!

Disposable Diaper

Taking care of your folks especially if you are working needs good time management and more patience. The discovery of disposable diaper has helped a lot those people who are taking care of their folks. No more longer time in washing those dirty clothes, sheets or blankets if they accidentally peed on it. This is also very convenient during long travel and like the babies, this helps our folks to feel comfortable during their sleep especially at night since there is no need for them to always ask assistance when they need to pee at the wee hours. Oh, it also saves more hours of sleep for those who are taking care of them.

It's A Boy!

Another baby boy is on the way for one of our friends here in DFW area. Last Saturday, a baby shower was hosted by Ate Fe for Beth. As usual, we had so much fun. Hubby and I went there and we got the chance to see again our friends in the area.

Oh, lots and lots of Filipino food were prepared. We had lumpia, humba, sweet and sour fish, bihon, tinolang manok, binignit, biko and a lot more. Before the night got too late, we had baby shower games which everyone found it so much fun!

Here are some pictures from the baby shower.

Hubby Said: Moen Faucets

Hubby and I thought that we need to replace one of our faucets since it isn't working so good already. We have been looking around the web and in the stores close to our house so we will know how much we have to spare to have it replaced. So far, hubby said that he likes Moen faucets. I don't know if you are familiar with this kind of faucet, I don't but hubby does. If you are like us who wants to do a renovation in your kitchen, check to see variety of quality and beautiful Moen faucets and fixtures. I am sure you will fall in love with them like we do.

Here's the picture of the faucet that hubby wants.

Initially, the US government officials were in a denial that the country is experiencing recession. Immediately after the economy has slowly collapsed, a lot of financial institution declares that they need help from the government in order to survive. Hence, the big bail out happened. Now, another sector of the market is crying out for help. From financial institutions, now it is the US automakers industry.

Economy is very down right now. Guess who are the most affected? Well, no other than the ordinary citizens of this country. Those people who are earning only couple of greens every hour and those people whose companies are closing. Foreclosures are soaring high these days. As what expert have said, if you have money, today is the best time to buy either cars or houses because of a lot of very good deal available in the market right now.

Too sad that the situation has to come to this point. I hope that US will soon recover; it might not be too easy but I hope it will happen soon.

Holiday Feasts

Holidays are here. We are just done with Thanksgiving but Christmas and New Year are still yet to come. I know you will agree when I say that these are the times of the year when families come together, prepare food and have a drinks to celebrate the day. Aside from food; beers, wine and other drinks are some of the stuff that people will prepare to celebrate holidays. Now, have you been wondering what is considered by many for this month and all throughout the holidays as wine of the month club? Is there really such thing? I really don't know but if you are fond of wines, you might as well check out

Ours Went Well, How About Yours?

I bet several households are still not done with their Thanksgiving feast. You can still see a lot of food in the refrigerator just like us. Last weekend, we had a Thanksgiving with the entire family of my husband. We had fried and oven-baked turkey, greens, macaroni, mashed potato and I also made some Filipino food like bihon and chicken adobo. We still have some food from last weekend and then another food has been added from last night since hubby cooked again another food including fried turkey and green. Oh boy, I don't know how hubby will eat all of the leftover food. As for me, I am certain that I am done eating meat. I want to eat veggies for awhile.

Anyway, I am so thankful that my family has something for Thanksgiving dinners that we had. I know there are several families right now that have nothing to prepare in their table these Holidays because they just lost their jobs. Oh, if you don't know yet, CITI bank will cut down 53,000 employees which means that there will be 53,000 families that will be struggling to have food for their families and money to pay their bills. It is so sad that many people lost their jobs when Christmas is only less than a month from now.

So, how about you? How did your Thanksgiving go?

Shopping Extravaganza

Black Friday is only 2 days from now. Most people say that the shaky economy can't keep them from spending their greens but this time they will be a more intelligent buyer; buy only important stuff. They said to keep you from the lurk of buying anything your eyes find beautiful, have a list prior to rushing to the stores or have a company. Items like HDTV, XBOX 360, home theater system, clothes, shoes, laptops (e.g. Toshiba Satellite, Dell, etc) and so much more are available on Black Friday on a cheaper price. Indeed, it will bring big savings to everyone. So, is your shopping list ready?

Capture and Save Those Beautiful Moments

During any trip, I always make sure I bring extra micro sd with me just in case the memory of my digital camera is already full and I need to store those pictures using another memory card. So far, this practice doesn't fail me yet in making sure that all beautiful memories and places are captured and stored safely until I go home and get the chance to print it or transfer them to my laptop. If you don't have one yet, there are a lot of memory cards of affordable price that you can get in the stores today either online or in the stores near you. Don't get behind and don't take the risk of deleting those photos because you have no space to store it.

Orovo Detox

Windy, Cold November Breeze

I was off today and as always hubby and I went out to the mall to look for some good deal. We also went to restaurant to have our dinner. We were supposed to watch a movie but due to the strong and very cold wind, I decline already to go out of the car.

The windy and cold weather truly reminds me that it is already Fall and December is only 35 days from now. No snow yet but I am sure we will have a little share with it so soon. After all, it is good to have a taste of the cold not just the Texas heat.

Anyway, when we get home, hubby and I made a fire in our fireplace. We then watch a movie which is very romantic considering the fire we have in the fireplace. Well, such a good to end the day...

The Number 13

Back in my beloved country, many people believed that number 13 is an unlucky number. Worst, belief goes that if a day 13 of the month falls on Friday it could mean disaster to lives of many people. Way back in high school, one of my teachers died on her way to the city in a car accident on the night of Friday the 13th. Yes, only God knows what lies ahead for us but sometimes things happens in coincidence that's why people tend to believe in many superstitious beliefs.

However, for Eagles and Bengals, 13 was a lucky number. During one of the NFL games on Sunday, neither of the two teams win or loss since they end up the game with a score of 13-13. Yes, they could have play overtime but since NFL has its distinctive rule when it comes to time so the game ended having no one win nor loss.

The above instances pretty show that one rule doesn't apply to all situations and times; there is always an exception...

Iisa Pa Lamang Farewell

This is the first week after one of my favorite Philippine drama series ends. If you don't know yet and for those who were following the Iisa Pa Lamang and had stop recently, I want you to know that the series had ended already last Friday, Philippine time.
Before, I used to wish to have the series end because I am already feed up with the "api at ganti" episodes that is going on in the series. However, now that it is over, I am wanting to see it again everyday. I miss the Katherine-Scarlet, Isadora-Miguel, Raphael lines, etc.
Right now, Dyosa is my most awaited series already. The story started to move on now and the pacing is now faster as usual. Just like Iisa Pa Lamang, I never miss a chance to see Dyosa before or after I go to work.
"Nakaka-miss talaga ang likhang Pinoy"...

Trick or Treat?

Tonight is the night for kids and people who are kids at heart to go to houses for trick or treat. Candies! Yeah, this is what kids love the most about Halloween. The experience of going from one houses to another collecting candies is what make Halloween so much fun and exciting for kids.

For the record, this is my second Halloween in the US. Last year, I feel indifferent how the people in the US celebrated Halloween. Don't blame me for feeling such. It is just total different on how I celebrated it in the last 23 years. LOL.

Filipinos in the US know that Halloween is celebrated way different here in the US than in our motherland. In the Philippines, it means going to cemetery, visiting the tomb of the dead, bringing flowers and offering novenas. It is the time to remember all of those who had depart already in this world. On the other hand, for people in the US, it means party... a lot of parties and wearing of their favorite Halloween costume and the "trick and treat" moments of the kids on the night of October 31st.

So, to everyone, Happy Halloween.... trick or treat?

Will This Coldness Stay?

Fall is really here. Living down south could means being one of the last people to experience the real Fall weather. Will you agree?

Here in North Texas, it is only this week that we started to feel the coldness. Wake up early in the morning and you can feel the tingling coldness in your place. The same goes when the sun sets already. Oh, hubby and I agreed that we still don't use our heater. After all, the coldness is still bearable.

For hubby, this weather isn't a problem to him. It is just perfect! Well, I can bear with this but I just need to put on jogging pants or shirts with sleeves if I am at home. No more shorts and sleeveless during early morning and night.

What I am wondering is if this coldness will continue until Christmas. I was able to ask this because with Texas weather, nothing is really stable. Our weather here is very unpredictable. I am sure a lot of other states are the same...

Buy Her An Unlocked Cell Phone

I just talked to my mother today. At first, I thought it was the network provider's connection that was bad but I later found out with her that it was her cellphone that went dead every now and then because the battery is too bad already. I asked her if my father is there so I could call his phone instead. She said he went somewhere and he will not be back in the next few minutes. So, I decided to just hang in there and just told her to text me when her phone is charged.

After talking to my Mom, I decided to look for an unlocked cell phones and plan buy one for her. Of course, I will not informed her that I am getting one for her because I want her to be surprised. Oh, I can already imagine what my Mom's expression will be when you received her new phone. I want to buy an unlocked cell phone so that she will have no trouble in using the phone with whatever network provider she will choose to use.

I am Speaking

Busy life, new endeavor, crazy schedule and laziness makes me absent again in my blogs for a couple of days. I failed my promise again to be here everyday. Darn!

You know what? Technically speaking, I was here everyday. Perhaps more than once a day. I have been hanging out here so often but I don't have the will to write something here. What I mean is I feel like I am speechless; I am always out of words when in fact I know I have so much to share could it be something at work or just the simple things that I encounter in my life in the US.

Oh, well, too much excuses if you don't like to do but a lot of ways if wanted to make it happen. That is me sometimes! I hate to think about it but that is so true. I bet a lot of us here are also like me. I didn't say all the time but sometimes we tend to do the other

Disney Vacations

Before, I told myself that once I get here in the US I will arrange my schedule so that I will be able to spend few days in Florida and experience Disney vacations. I am sure it will be fun. I saw on TV, how exciting and fun Disneyland is. Hey, I know I am way too big to be this happy with just the idea of going there, but I guess the "little girl" in me will be jumping for joy. LOL. Not only that, going there can give me a chance to enjoy the big water parks and beautiful beaches in the City of Sunshine. Oh, Florida, I will soon be there and enjoy all the things that you offer to your tourists and locals.

Who Has the Advantage?

Did McCain was able to turn the presidential race story after last night's debate?

I have listen to our (hubby and I) favorite radio station on our way home from work and the host is implying that McCain wasn't able to establish a good advantage over last night's debate. Republicans or Democrats who pick McCain over Obama hope that last night's debate could change the result of the coming election.

Until now, I know there are a lot of Americans who are still undecided as to who they are going to give their votes. With America on the brim of economic recession, everyone is so worried and unsure whether voting McCain or Obama can instill progress to the struggling US economy.

There are some Democrats who will vote for McCain not because they are transferring their loyalty to the other party but they don't agree to have Obama as the president. My husband is the real example to this. He is Democrat by heart and all of you know he is also a black American but according to him his vote, if he will cast his vote, will go to McCain. He doesn't agree with Obama's platforms especially when it comes to the socialist way of giving health insurance to people and his stand on illegal immigration.

No matter what the outcome of the election, I hope that everything will be for the benefits of all the people in America. Comes November 4, I hope everyone will be wise enough and will think not only but million of times before casting their vote. Remember, your vote can either make or break this country...

Bellagio's famous "dancing" fountain and the Eiffel Tower at Hotel Paris are just so fabulous.

New York New York, MGM Grand Hotels, Excalibur, Bellagio, Bally's, Flamingo, Caesar's Palace, Mandalay Bay and many more are just few of the beautiful Las Vegas hotels that are available on The Strip (heart of Las Vegas). Try Cassrole Recipes

Holidays are coming: Halloween, Thanksgiving, Christmas and New Year are only few days away. For many of us, holidays means time for family gathering; time to cook more food for the family to enjoy and savor.

When it comes to cooking food for any family occasion/gathering, it is not really a problem for us since hubby and Mom are such a good cook. However, to have a change, I am planning to do my own cooking for the coming holidays. Preparing casserole recipes is what I am considering. Aside from they are yummy; they are also very easy to prepare.
How about you? Any plan for the holidays yet?

How Am I These Days?

After working 4 consecutive nights as night auditor at work, I now have difficulty falling asleep at night. Unfortunately, one of our very considerate staffs (lol...lami barangon), just leave his post without giving us enough time, even a day, to look for someone to replace him.
So, here comes Ms. Superwoman (yours truly) again to the rescue. Oh, gooshhh! I swear, I am already so tired of this role. I just believe that the raise I receive when I got promoted isn't fair enough for the crazy schedule that I have right now.
I hate to say this, but I think I am being paid less for the things I have been doing at work. Oh, well. I know, many companies are cost-cutting right now. Our GM said that we can just let someone work so much hours in a week that is why we are trying to take control all possible overtimes...
Yes, I understand them. I truly do. Being in this hotel for almost a year now, I already learn to love it and the people I work with.

Meet the Campers

The experience itself, the presence of our friends, the beauty of nature and our (hubby and I) first camping experience as married couple add up to the uniqueness and the greatness of the whole trip. Yes, that was our first camping experience since we get married and my first close encounter with nature here in the US.

****Our Home Away from Home...LOL****

My hubby and our friends made that experience so memorable. I will never forget the laughter, the quirks and the marathon of stories that we share to each other. It was hours full of fun and silly stuff shared with us and our friends. The camping was also highlighted with non-stop eating of our favorite Filipino foods. Thanks to Ate Fe and Marites for being a good chefs to all of us. Oh, my appreciation also for my hubby for making the yummy pancake for our breakfast.

***Beautiful Pinays***

**Hubby and I ... He is making pancakes**

***Our beautiful chefs Marites and Ate Fe***

The bonfire we made at night has added to the romantic ambience of the place, so to speak. For the kids who are with us, bonfire means their time to roast marshmallows and hotdogs. They have also their share of fun.

***Yours truly in the campfire arena...hehehe****

Everyone loves the place and appreciate the trip!

The Promise of Love

As what the famous saying goes, "Diamonds are girls bestfriend". Well, who will not like wearing a diamond jewelry?

I will be hypocrite if I will not admit that I do wish to have one, although I never take it seriously because I know diamond jewelry are expensive. But thanks to my husband; he gave me diamond rings as my engagement and wedding rings.

I told him before that stone doesn't matter to me; what is important is him and our love. However, he insisted since according to him, those rings in my fingers symbolize our great love and everlasting commitment to each other. He said whenever he is away or we aren't together, all I have to do is look at the rings and know that he is just with me.

Sibblings Charged Capital Murder of their Mom's Death

I could never imagine how a child could afford to kill his parents. Yes, few days ago a mother, 43-year-old, Susan Bailey, a resident of Roanoke, Texas was found dead inside her home. The suspects are her 17-year-old daughter (Jennifer Bailey), 14-year-old son and the daughter's 16-year-old boyfriend. Although, the details of the death wasn't divulge by the police because 2 juveniles are involved, they said that there are pieces of evidence that will prove the kids are the prime suspect.

Right now, the three suspects were charged with capital murder. Going back, Roanoke's police was forced to enter the house of the deceased when the South Dakota police found out that it was the daughter who was driving the 2002 Saturn car of her mom. They were pull over for traffic violations.

The suspects are now brought back to Texas to face the investigation and the court trials.

Re-United with My Buddy

Today, I was reunited with one of my dear friends. She is my very close friend since elementary until high school. Even if we didn't get the chance to study in the same school but since we are neighbors so we were still able to continue our friendship.

College days came and she had to go to Manila to pursue her college studies. We were both sad and I hated the day she boarded the bus that will take her to the city where she is going to ride a plane bound to Manila. Although, we both didn't want it to happen but our communication slowly ceased. We became very busy with our studies that we seldom send text messages once in every 2 days.

Today, I was viewing some profile in a social networking site and I was so surprised when I saw her profile through my other friend's profile. I sent her a message asking if she still recognized me; she then replied right away telling me how she missed me so much.

Our meeting over the net made my day! We are so happy to be reunited and promise to have a constant communication from now onwards.

E-Fave Collections Reborn

Part of my pledge to go back full-time on blogging is changing my fourth blog to my own domain. E-Fave Collections is the title of my fourth blog. Right now, it is still on a free hosted platform but I am really contemplating of making it to my own domain.

Just want to make it clear. I do appreciate blogspot but having my blog to my own domain is advantageous if I want to monetize my blog. As we all know most advertisers prefers blogs in their own domain.

Right now, I didn't have any decision when it comes to this matter. I am still weighing the pros and cons of having another blog. I am still thinking if buying a domain is worth it because I am afraid that I will again run out of time due to busy schedule at work.Well, let us see.

By the way, I am inviting everyone to come take a look at my new blog. CLICK HERE to be redirected.

A Night with A 2-Month Old Infant

Last Saturday, my good friend needs to attend the company party of her husband so I decided to baby sit her 2-month old baby. Since, I don't have much idea on how to take care an infant, I decided to ask hubby's help. I am just so happy because he is very supportive of me that night.

Everything went smooth except for some "baby stuff" that are kinda new to me. Hubby keeps on laughing with me because I am very paranoid especially when the baby sounds crying. He just want to be carried that is why he is making all the noise.

When it was already past 10:00PM and he didn't sleep yet that is when he started to be uneasy. I guess he wanted to go to sleep but for some reason he couldn't. So, I ended carrying him in my arms for several minutes.

However, it was hubby who put the puzzle to an end. After a long time of carrying the baby, hubby called me and asked to have the baby. He put him in his lap, put the pacifier in his mouth which he didn't want at first but he managed to fall asleep after a minute in hubby's lap sucking the pacifier.

What's Next?

After WaMu's brim of total collapse, Wachovia comes next. Yes, Wachovia is now owned by Citi Group after they sell their deposits, stocks, etc. to the Citi Group. It is sad to see how these big banks are starting to gone out of business. Imagine, in just a matter of 1 week two large banks are already out of business? It is a very sad scenario.
The economy is indeed on its meltdown right now. The failure of the $700 billion bail out to pass the Congress is making the economy even worst. Just today, DOW stocks lost around 770 points which is the biggest drop ever since the last economic recession happened in the US.
Wall Street is such a mess today! They closed very early after the stocks uncontrollably went down which happens after the rejected $700 billion bail out fail to pass in the Congress.
The question now is, what's next?

Feel Relieve

I was stunned when I heard from the news that Washington Mutual (WaMu) had technically gone out of business. However, I was a relieved with the fact that JP Morgan Chase bought it and everything is okay. Who could have thought that USA's largest bank would collapse in this shaky economy? Well, no one really knows...

The reason why I panic so much is because I have an account with WaMu. Of course, I don't want my hardwork to end up with nothing. Do you want?
The best thing is WaMu was FDIC registered so my money was safe. Thanks God! Otherwise, I would have left in one corner wishing that I have used the money for shopping than saving it and get nothing. LOL . You know what I mean.

With the new owner (JP Morgan Chase), I feel safe again. I know I don't have millions there but even couple of bucks is very important if you work your ass to earn it.

My Comfort Day

I had a very good sleep today. There is no reason for me to rush my morning since it's my day off. I am giving myself plenty of time to feel the comfort of our bed. I can't do it everyday so I am just so happy every time I have time to hang out in our house.

No food yet for me. There is no breakfast; nothing since I am not hungry yet and I have no appetite to eat brunch (breakfast and lunch). However, I am already getting myself ready to cook something for me. Yeah, I am not hungry but I know I have to eat.

Just like my last day off, I am going to spend my time today blogging. As what I have said, I am going to be serious again with blogging. After all, I don't want to miss the opportunity of earning more bucks. More earning means more money for saving.

I have to go now but I will be back momentarily. Need to cook somethinf for brunch!

One Stop Memory Solution!

There is no moment in my life that I don't have my camera ready to capture any precious memories. It might be an exaggeration to some people but for me an event is dull without those bright camera flashes. Yes, I am a camera addict if that is what the latter means.

Sometimes, if I forgot to download to the computer the current pictures in my camera, I ended up deleting some of them which I hate to do. Who wants to anyway? Therefore, I decided to buy another memory card for my camera. In this way, I always have a back.

Yesterday, I started shopping for digital flash memory cards and storage at I found what I need and I decided to buy it next payday, anyway this isn't very urgent so it can wait. Quality and Affordable Fashion Jewelry

Hubby and I share the same views and standard when it comes to dress, jewelry, shoes and many more. Lately, we were in serious talk trying to figure out what else we can do to earn extra money. With today’s economy, you really have to think of a back-up with your finances for rainy days. We are considering right now to start a little business using our savings and wholesale fashion jewelry and other stuff are one of our prospects.

Hubby and I are now starting to look for online and outlet stores where to get our supply. is one of the online stores which we find perfect to buy wholesale fashion jewelry. Why?Because, aside from their affordable prices, they also made quality, trendy and unique lines ranging from Swarovski crystal jewelry, extensive line of Christian jewelry and theme bracelets and designer look jewelry. To stay on top, hubby and I firmly believe that having the latest, affordable and quality fashion jewelry is what people would love to buy.

Sometimes, Things Are Better Left Unsaid. . .

Do you agree?

I am a straightforward person. I speak what my mind thinks. I gave my opinion but I make sure if it is a criticism, it is a constructive criticsm not always destructive. Our nature needs balance and harmony so do we. Yes, there is no harm in letting people aware of what you think and what you believe in. However, make sure that you have enough grounds for doing such. Think and think again. Don't rush and most of all don't let your emotion rule you. Remember that in most cases, people can't think well if they will let only their emotion to rule without letting the brain thinks. For me, a decision should comes from the heart and mind of a person.

Though I am a straightforward person, I am still a firm believer that there things better left unsaid. Just remember that once a word comes out from your mouth, there is no way for you to get it back. Hurting words can create more pain that can be engrave deeper in one's heart and it takes so much time to heal. As what they said, it is better to be hurt physically than emotionally because once the scar is gone there is no mark anymore of the pain that the person had been through.

Yes, we are free to speak what we want since we are living in democratic country. But what is the use of exercising your freedom of speech when it causes so much pain for your others?
My point of view is, speak from your heart; talk with compassion and let your brain think first prior to uttering those words.

American Singing Modelong Charing

I can't really help but admire this American guy who has a Youtube account with a lot of entries of Philippine songs which are sung no other than himself. Hubby was even very impressed when he heard and saw him speaking Tagalog. It is very nice to hear someone who doesn't have Filipino decent speaking our language.

If you want to visit his Youtube channel, just search for Kanoy919.

FYI: Kanoy is the abbreviation of Kano (Philippine term for Americans) and Pinoy. Cool right?

Now, here is Dobbie (otherwise known as Kanoy919 in Youtube) version of Modelong Charing by Black Jack.

Idol!!! Go, go, go......

American Singing Philippine Song

Wherever I go, I am always proud to be a Filipino. Everytime people will ask me what is my nationality or where I came from, without any second thought I always tell them I am a Filipino/I came from the Philippines. Funny it maybe, at work I always recognize by our guests as someone who came from the Philippines because our name plate contains our name and the country or state (if from USA) where we were born. I am very happy because so far I always heard good compliments from our guests regarding the Filipinos. In return, I am also very proud in telling them what we can be proud of with our country. I even tell them to visit our country if they can. Every time, we have Filipino guests or American who speaks Tagalog, I always speak with them in Tagalog; Bisaya if they are from Visayas and Mindanao.

Truly, I admire those Filipinos who still speak Tagalog or their own dialect when they are talking with our fellowmen; either at work or anywhere they will meet them.

Now, here is a video of an American who knows how to speak our language. I know how hard for them to enunciate our language that is why I absolutely bow down those who tried to learn it. I am teaching my husband little by little and I hope time comes that he can speak as good as this guy.

So ladies and gentlemen, please welcome Dobie (Kanoy919) in his very own version of "Larawang Kupas".

Man, you are so amazing! I hope my husband can speak as fluently as you someday.

Until When We Are Going to Be Worried for Tomorrow?

Everywhere you go; whenever you turn on your TV or your radio to news; you will always here news on how shaky our economy is right now. A lot of people feared for their work. Why not, when there are a lot of companies that are doing massive lay offs right now. With the food and other stuff getting expensive, no one can just stay very calm in one corner without thinking what will going to happen to them and their families if fate turned the other way.

Even me, I can't help to ask my husband how is he doing in his company. He just laugh at me because he knows that I am being paranoid again hearing all the news around me. Well, who will not get worried? I mean, hubby is pretty safe and he is in a pretty stable position in his company but then it is better to keep your eyes open on what is going on around you in the company rather than waking up one day lossing everything you have.

So, hubby once again assure me that he is okay, his company and the stores he manages are doing fine. So, he will be fine also.

Geez, I just can't help but worry sometimes. I guess, I just have to stop listening to these devastating news.

More HEROES nights on NBC 5 starting tonight!

Plan Ahead of Time

Even if you are only going to a party in the next city that you aren't familiar, plan your trip ahead of time. Print out direction and the map that goes with it. It would help you pretty much.
We wasted a lot of gas and time for not printing the direction. Last minute prior to us leaving the house, I rushed anc decided to just copy the direction since our printer isn't working. When I look at the direction, it seems like I and hubby know where to go. We are familiar with first 2 streets. However, because I was in a hurry already, I forgot to copy one line that is very much important.
As a result we ended going to the wrong way. We realized that we were lost when we were driving far already and we still didn't see the exit for the interstate that we are looking for.
Lesson learned? Prepare, prepare and prepare everything in advance.

Officially Fall!

Autumn is already here. On Monday, we going to officially welcome Autumn, otherwise known as Fall. This will be the second time that I will experience Fall. Oh, I am so excited! I will get the chance again to see the beautiful color of the leaves and feel the soothing cold breeze. I am so excieted about it. At least I will suffer from the burning heat of Texas. LOL
Yeah, I feel like I got too much heat already. I hate Texas summer already for its high temperature; I love it because I got the chance to wear sexy clothes and go swimming anytime I want. Anyway, now that summer is about to end I have to start shopping for Fall/Winter clothes. It will gonna be fun!!! LOL

Is It Fall Already?

For few days now, I observed that we are now getting cold here in North Texas. We are now in the 50'sF in the morning and our highest temperature is on the 80'sF. I love it so much to go out in the evening and feel the cold breeze. It is indeed a break for us after the long hot summer we have here.
Today, I went outside and realize that the leaves of the trees start to fall already. I saw them scattered in the ground and in our porch. It only means I have to clean the porch again everyday or else I will going to have a mountain of leaves. Although, I didn't see yet any change in color of the trees leaves. I know it is too early yet to see the beautiful Fall sceneries.
I know most of us love Fall because of the beautiful colors of the leaves and other amazing sceneries around us that only be seen during fall. To date, this is my second Fall in the US and hope to see more. I just love this season so much!

Just Another Day

Happy days are gone. Now, I have to go back and face the busy days at the hotel due to several Hurricane Ike evacuees who are staying with us thru FEMA. Time does fly so much at my 2 days off is now over. In 2 hours I will already start with my shift. Oh, I can't wait to have these days over. I have been working so much lately and been very tired that is why even if I am just with my off, I am already looking forward for my next off. Oh, life!
Oh, sorry to say all these stuff here. Just want to vent out. I feel relax and at ease when I can say what I feel inside. Oh well, got to go now and eat my brunch. Thanks for listening! I will check back here after eating.
Good day!

Hubby's English-Bisaya Tutorial

Even before when we were still dating, I already started teaching hubby with basic Bisaya words. I want him to try to learn my language but I was surprised to know that he is even more eager to learn. If we are wondering how we do it, it is very easy. All I have to do is to write down all the words in english and its corresponding Bisaya translation then I have to break the Bisaya word into syllables that have an English sound similarity.

Some of the words that I am teaching him are as follows:

Bald -- Opaw (O-pao)
My/I/me/mine -- Ko/Ako
I Love You -- Mahal Kita (ma-hal kee-ta)
I Miss You -- Gimingaw Ko Nimo (Ge-me-now Ko Ne-mo)
Husband -- Bana (Ba-na)
Wife -- Asawa (A-sa-wa)
Good -- Maayo (Ma-a-u)
Good Morning -- Maayo Buntag (Ma-a-u Boon-tag)
Good Noon -- Maayo Udto (Ma-a-u Od-to)
Good Afternoon -- Maayo Hapon (Ma-a-u Ha-pon)
Good Evening -- Maayo Gabii (Ma-a-u Ga-bee-ee)
Thank You -- Salamat (Sa-la-mat)
You're Welcome -- Walang Anuman (Wa-lang A-noo-man)
Sleep -- Tulog (Too-log)
I will sleep -- Tulog ko ( Too-log Ko)
Are you going to sleep? -- Tulog Na Ka (Too-log Na Ka)?
Eat -- Kaon (Ka-on)
I will eat -- Kaon ko (Ka-on Ko)
Are you getting to eat? -- Kaon ka (Ka-on Ka)?

The above are some of the words that I already taught him. Just want to let everyone knows that it was my intention to omit syllables like ma- for "tulog" (sleep) and mo- for "kaon" (eat) and -ng for "maayo buntag" (good morning) for my husband's convenience to learn to speak and remember the words easier and faster. I tell you, we had a pretty good laugh when we are on our session. LOL. But I love listening to how he says the words. Most of all, I am so proud of him for trying her best to learn my dialect.

Oh, if I will tell my hubby, "Ako opaw gwapo bana", he knows what it means and he will have a very big smile in his face. LOL

What A Disaster!

A house in the middle of the road! Could it be possible? Sounds very impossible but Hurricane Ike made it happens. After Hurricane Ike left South Texas, thousands if not millions of people are left homeless and had lost their sense of livelihood. A lot of them are forced to leave their homes after some places especially Galveston are declared unhabitable due to no electricity and water. Think of the worst and that is what you are going to see in Galveston, Hoston, Beaumont and other places in South Texas.

To give you an idea on how terrible the damage left by Hurricane Ike. Here are some pics:

Photo's Source

I am so happy to be reconnected again with some of my close friends. It's been a while since I talked to them because I was so busy with my work. I even felt guilty I know they understand me. After all, we all know that life and work in the US is not easy at all if we aren't going to take it seriously and work our butt to the maximum. I am happy to know everything goes fine with the lives of the people I care. Well, I know that being busy isn't a good excuse for having no time to get in touch with them often that is why I am trying my best to cover up what I miss. I know I am just lazy sometimes to get up early during my off and do something more productive before the end of the day. LOL. I am trying my best to change but since my schedule change very often at this moment, that is why I am very tired most of the times. I am hoping to have a more stable schedule soon.

Cowboys On the Go!

Tonight is Monday football night. My fave NFL team, Dallas Cowboys, is playing against Philadelphia Eagles right now. If you remember in the last season, both teams played good. Right now, the game is already in the last 3 minutes of the 4th quarter and my team is on the lead by 4 points. It is not a very big lead so I am hoping that Cowboys will still work hard. If both teams are good then there is always a possibility to score in every second. My team is good I know with that but I hope this season they will be more aggresive and being careful in their moves in the field. In the last season, there were a lot of turn overs and they miss a lot of opportunities to forward more in the league. Anyhow, Cowboys was still the Champion in their respective division.
UPDATE: And oh, Cowboys won against Eagles at 41-37. Go Cowboys!!!

Footprints of Hurricane Ike

Hurricane Ike is already out in our country but it's trace in the South Texas is very visible. Yes, there are millions of people who are forced to leave their home after Ike hit their place. Of all the places who are facing the Gulf of Mexico, it is Galveston that is declared unhabitable at this moment. People who evacuate their houses prior to the official landfall of Hurricane Ike were advised by Galveston government not to go back to their houses unless the government will give them a go signal to do it. Aside from there is no electricity, the water system is also turned off to avoid having the water contaminated.

Since FEMA approves to pay the hotel stay of the people who are affected with Ike. More and more people decided to stay in the hotels than in the evacuation center. As a matter of fact, the hotel where I work is even busier starting yesterday than during or when Hurricane Ike is still approaching the country. Reservation is going crazy with all these people who are trying to book rooms for their families. Since, our hotel is FEMA affiliated hotel that is why we are bombarded with a lot of people who wants to make reservation thru FEMA. Honestly speaking, I would prefer the hotel to be sold out on regular business days than in times of disaster. Yes, they are giving business to the hotel but they have a lot of crazy complains and requests. I know people who are in the hospitality industry knows how crazy this time is.

Nakakaloka bayotzz....

South Texas Massive Evacuation Due to Hurricane Ike

Houston - Galveston area is only 5-6 hours drive from Dallas-Fort Worth area; however, because of the massive evacuation because of the Hurricane Ike travel time increases to 9-12 hours. Can you imagine how terrible the traffic would be when thousands of people from South Texas are flocking the streets? Well, that is what happened since yesterday afternoon. When our guests who are Hurricane Ike evacuees arrived in the hotel yesterday we can see the tiredness, trouble and worry they have by leaving their home. Of course, you can't take it from them to be freaking worried thinking that their houses can be one of the victims of Hurricane Ike.
A lot of people are hesitant to evacuate. I can tell it by what is going on in the reservation of hotel rooms. At one point, people called to make reservations and after few minutes they will call again to cancel it and vice-versa. I think their decision rely on the progress of the hurricane; either, it is getting stronger or not. There were also hurricane evacuees whose reservations supposed to start today but in the last minute they changed their minds to come last night since they are getting scared as the wind is getting stronger and the waves are getting higher and bigger.
Today and tomorrow, our hotel management are expecting more and more people to come and stay with us. So, we are expecting to have a very busy weekend. Our guests right now are more than doubled when we are sold out on regular business days. Anyway, we are also very happy to help them and to be of service to them at this crucial times in their lives.

How Prepared Are We for Hurricane Gustav?

States near the Gulf of Mexico (e.g. Texas, Louisiana, New Orleans, etc.) are very busy preparing everything to make sure everyone is ready and the destruction Hurricane Gustav brings will be minimized. In fact, residents of New Orleans are now ordered to evacuate their places and houses. Most of them flock to North Texas while Hurricane Gustav is getting nearer at the Gulf of Mexico. Everyone is being cooperative in the evacuation order because everyone tries to avoid losing thousands of lives like what happened 3 years ago with Hurricane Katrina. North Texas shelters and even hotels are getting ready for the huge number of evacuees expected to drive all the way here. Like you, I am hoping that the expected strength of Hurricane Gustav will lessen to avoid huge structural damages and lost of lives. America, join us in our prayer.

Take a Look at Your Electricity Bill

To all business owner, make sure you do your all your business honestly and fairly. Well, you might be wondering why I said this. Unfortunately, we had a very bad experience with our electric company provider. I still remember that hubby and I were on a very good mood; happily sharing experiences and views with our respective job until he decided to check our mailbox. Just when he enters our room I knew already that there was something wrong. I had the perception that he got a bad news from one of our mails. Of all, I never expect that it has to do with our electricity bill. In the past few days, I had seen a lot of news regarding questionably high electric bill charged to the consumers. Today, we just realized we (hubby and I) are one of the victims of this unfair business. Their claim was they increased by 3 cents per KWH which we really don't care since that increase isn't very big. Our (hubby and I) concern has to do with the around 35% increase in our KWH consumption compared to the past 2 months. Who will not go crazy when you had an additional 500 KWH for this month compared to last month and there was nothing added to your appliances and no one is around the house in the morning since we (hubby and I) are both working. Now, tell me why I should not be crazy about it. Oh, the 1 hour time I spent on hold just to get hold of a manager/supervisor of First Power Choice (our electricity provider) triggers more of my anger and frustration. Hubby and I do our Math and we had concluded that indeed there was wrong in the meter reading. Tomorrow we will call them again and present them our computations. We also agreed to have our meter re-read and if proven that the meter reading was wrong then it will be my time to shine... LOL... They just have to wait...

Newbie on the Desk

I am a little bit exhausted today. Aside from we are short staff, I was also training a newly hired frontdesk agent. Of course, the to-do or must-learn frontdesk list is long and I have to discuss everything to him since he never work in any Hilton properties before. He doesn't have an idea on the system that Hilton hotels are using so I have to start from scratch. Since he was working before in another hotel so the hospitality industry is not totally a stranger to him. He is used to dealing people from all walks of life and to take care of all the demands of the guest. Tomorrow will be his second day in the frontdesk as a frontdesk agent trainee and I hope everything will go on smoothly. It is not easy to train someone in the same way that it is not easy to grasp everything that he needs to know. I'd been into it and I know it is difficult at first but if you take it as a challenge then it will drive you to learn more and explore more.

08-08-08 Olympics Has Come to an End

Tonight, the grandest 2008 Beijing Olympics has come to an end. Just like the opening program, the closing ceremony was once again became the best way for Chinese people to show their creativity and their masterpiece as a nation. Of course, the most awaited fireworks was never been out of the picture. The Olympics torch that remains on lighted while the games were on the run has is now not lit. The biggest 08-08-08 Olympics hosted by the Chinese people turned out very successful. In four years, the whole world will have their eyes set in London for the 2o12 Olympics.

New Gymnast Hero

Nastia Luikin received a warm welcome from her fans and thankful Americans for giving the US honor at the 2008 Beijing Olympics. She brought home 5 medals from Beijing including her gold medal that she received when she won the All Around competition in gymnastics. Her fans were waiting for her at Terminal B of the DFW airport where she was scheduled to arrive. Nastia was very much overwhelmed with the love and support that she receives from her fellow Texans. She was also met by none other than the Mayor of Parker, Texas.
Congratulations once again Nastia!

Raining Opps

What a pleasant surprise! Yes, I was so thrilled to see the many opportunities that PPP made available tonight to their bloggers. I even planned to sleep early but since I found out that there are couple of opportunities available for my blogs tonight so I decided to hit the keyboard prior to sleeping. In contrary, hubby is already sleeping right now beside me since all the opps for his blog are already gray. I do hope, am sure he does too, that his blog will be blessed with a PR the next time the big G will shower PRs in the blogosphere. I hate to see that hubby looks frustrated for having no PR since he works hard for his blog also. Anyway, got to stop here for now, I have to go back to triple Ps website and do a living. hehehe... Goodnight everyone!

Olympics Addict!

I got home from work at 11PM since I worked second shift today. I bet you are expecting me to go to sleep. Well, that what happened before but not when the Beijing Olympics has started. hahaha... I think you guys know what I mean. Yes, I always stay awake even until the very wee hours of the morning to watch the games. Swimming, Volleyball, Basketball and of course Gymnastics are just few of my favorites and most awaited events. Tonight, is not an exception. Here I am still awake watching the games.

Shawn Johnson and Nastia Liukin for Another 1-2 in Gymnastics

Shawn Johnson and Nastia Liukin proved their worth as a world class gymnast after winning gold and silver medals in the beam final competition held last night in the Beijing Olympics. Both of them gave an outstanding performace giving only China the chance to win the bronze. If you remember, couple of days ago, Liukin and Johnson made it 1 and 2 by winning gold and silver at the floor exercise finals. Just like Michael Phelps, these two young ladies are also making their names in the gymnastics. Kudos to Johnson and Liukin!

Nastia Liukin and Shawn Johnson hugs each other after the balance-beam final competition.

Who's On the Lead of Beijing Olympics?

Right now, team USA is already on the lead of the 2008 Beijing Olympics medal count as of August 17, 2008. However, China is still on the lead in the gold medal count. I know I am a Filipino but since I didn't see my home country on the top of the medal list, that is why my first bet of course is the USA. I know it will be difficult but I hope the team USA will be able to beat the China not only in the total medal count but also in the total number of gold medals.
Here is the latest tabulation of the medal count showing the top three of the list.

Gold Silver Bronze Total

1. China 27 13 9 49
2. USA 17 18 22 57
3. Germany 9 5 5 19

Truly, Age Doesn't Matter!

At 41 years old, Dara Torres becomes the oldest swimmer to hit the Water Cube at the Beijing Olympics, but she proved many times that he can swim as fast, if not faster than the swimmers that are more than half of his age. Tonight, she finished silver medal with the 50-m freestyle final which she lost to Britta Steffen of Germany. It was a very sad lost because there was only a one-hundredth difference in time. Steffen finished at 24.06 while Torres end her swim at 24.07. Actually, the same story happened between Phelps and Cavic (of Serbia) last night which resulted to Phelps 7th gold medal. Although, Torres result didn't turn out the same with Phelps but to the heart of Americans, she is still a champion!

Take a look at Torres expression upon knowing that Steffen only won by one-hudredth time difference.

Obama Vs. McCain: Who Will Make It to White House?

Borack Obama has finally clinched the Democratic party's presidential race. Yes, after getting a 2,119 votes, Obama has finally reached the peak of his political career. So far, this is the highest level of candidacy he ever reached in his entire career in the government. Last night, a thanksgiving rally has been set by Borack Obama's supporter as a sign of their celebration for the big victory. Obama's supporters had gathered last night for the big celebration.

President Bush has already congratulated him for the big win. He is now the official Democrat candidate for the incoming presidential election against McCain. On the other hand, McCain had acknowledged Borack Obama last night as his presidential race opponent.

Now everything is official and each party has already a respective candidate for White House. Now the question is who will make his first step in the White House stairs?

Feel Refreshed

After a series of hot weather, I would say I love our weather today. It is just perfect for me. It wasn't too hot. Maybe, this is due to the sun is like a bulb that was turn on and off in the sky at certain intervals. I feel contented with just the ceiling fan giving me a refreshing air. I felt relieved already with just the fan unlike last week when I need to turn on the AC.

Just like what my friend told me, I should not open the window during daytime so that hot air outside can't get inside. I guess it was a big mistake in the past couple of days when I left the windows opened even on the broad daylight when the sunlight is too extreme. I bet she is right because it air remains colder inside the house when the windows aren’t open.

Our temperature is still to no avail. Everyday it seems like we are getting hotter and hotter here. It is understandable considering that we are already on our way to summer but never thought it will be this to have a temperature close to 100F.

Oh, yeah, our highest temperature of the day is already close to 100F. As a matter of fact, if you are going to consider the heat index, we had already reached 100F many times because of our high humidity content. Yes, it is correct. Two days ago, our temperature was 96F but it feels like 105F due to high humidity content.

I keep complaining these days about the hotness here. Yeah, I know I come from a tropical country but at least there if you are going out and sit down under a shade of the tree the breeze is refreshing. In here, oh yeah, better not to open your windows or go out coz it is hotter outside. If it is sun bathing time, of course, you will need this extreme sunlight distribution.

Naturally or Artificial Tanning?

It has been very warm in the past few days here in Texas. Approximately, 2-3 days ago we already reached a whooping 100F temperature. So, now I am wondering how hot we will be here when summer officially kicks in! We can really feel now the heat of the sun. Actually last weekend, I was sunbathing to get some tan and yes, I did get a little tan. However, I need more sun exposure to have a darker tan just like what I had last summer.

Well, you might be wondering why I will not just go to the salon and have my tan done there. Unfortunately, I don't trust those tanning products because no matter how they will claim it is safe, still I believe there is a not so good effect of it in the long run. I certainly prefer naturally tanning; just be careful not to have sunburn because it also hurts so much.

Anyway, sun is up today and it is shining brightly up in the sky so I am thinking of getting some tan today.

Busy Morning at Work

My two day short-vacation is over. Today, I went back to work. I was blessed because it wasn't so busy but since there were two of us in the Front Desk in the morning; my manager asked me if I could help the hostess in the dining area to look after if everything is taking cared of during our free-buffet breakfast. The hostess and the "dining people" need reinforcement since we had 90 junior high school students in house today. They were here for a school tour and at the same time to participate in the battle of the band held in one of the cities here.

At first, it was very quiet in the dining area but when the 90 students including their chaperones went done and ate, the area turned out into a noisy and very busy place... It was very busy... One of my managers even asked me if I am okay to help them there because I look so tired already early morning. It was the noise that I can't bear. I get easily irritated with so much noise. Well, who isn't?

Oh well, everything turned out good and everyone receives compliment from guests and management. It was my first experience to be in the dining area during breakfast or even dinner and my experience was great! When the kids left the hotel, I also went back to the Front Desk.

Blog Day

Today is my "blog day"! Do you know why? No, actually it is just my own way of giving my blogs credits that is why I make sure that once or twice a week I am full-time with them. I have to take care of them and I have to respond to the messages that my fellow bloggers left here. Most of all, I need to watch the generous triple P's for the possible fishes that they are giving today. I hope they will be generous again today just like on Monday.

Yes, if you guys don't know what happened at triple P's on Monday, let me tell you. They gave a lot of big paying opportunities requiring only big Real Rank, no PR; some don't require tack rating and no Alexa. Those opps are blessings to those bloggers whose blogs are victim of sudden PR removal. At least the kind-hearted advertisers are thinking of them because even if we admit it or not there are a lot of good blogs out there that deserve to have a PR in their site.

Hopefully the big boss will notice them on the next update. Yours truly are also hoping to get a PR in this blog and in my MJ's Hurrah in the next update. If given even a PR1, I would be very happy about it. Well, much more of it is bigger than that. LOL.. Why not?

I am Excited; It Shows

I am now very excited for Thursday to come. Ooppss... I absolutely didn't win lotto nor have I a big date coming. I also didn't have a concert to do; I am fully-booked as of the moment..LOL.. I wish I am a singer by profession, I love singing; the music. We will not go yet to our vacation. I am not so sure if my new laptop will be delivered at that time, so that is not the reason.

Actually, I will only be at the house on Thursday. I will be with my computer and of course with my blogs. That is the big reason why I am happy. I will have more time blogging. So, do you have a guess now why I am very excited for Thursday? You nail it! Yes, it will be my DAY OFF!

How about you? What makes you excited in the next couple of days? I am certain there is...

Silent Days

I am on the first day of my three-day off from work. Supposedly, I should be happy I know but I am not because hubby isn't here. He is on a business trip again for three days. He will be gone in the next three days and I feel very lonely. I could have go with him but I will only be in the hotel during their meeting plus it will just be an additional unnecessary expenses. Yes, we are free hotel stay and food but not with air fare and other expenses and I would prefer to save the money. K-U-R-I-P-O-T? I don't think so, just being practical.

So since I will just be in the house in the next three days, except that most of the times I will be in front of the computer fishing for any "fish (oppss)"; hopefully big ones to cover up my lost in the past days when I was very busy. Well, if my friends will pick me up in the house so we might as well end up gathering in our other friend's house which is 25 minutes away.
Until here, I am going to park my keyboard now as I am still sleepy so I will sneak back to bed.

Just want to leave this for everyone: G-O-O-D M-O-R-N-I-N-G!!!!

Fiesta Months In the Philippines

If only I have a power, I would have fly now to the Philippines so that I will be there a couple of days before our community's fiesta. My fellow Pinays/Pinoys here know how fiesta is celebrated in the Philippines. In most cases, "lechon" or roast pig is never out in the table of most houses. Well, I don't know if it will still apply this year since it is very crisis in the Philippines.

As for us, I already sent a small contribution to our parents because my aunties and uncles are coming over so it means we need to prepare something. "Chip-in2x (hati-hati)" as what most of us calls it. Mama really persuades me to go home but I told her I really can't do it this year since it wasn't in the plan. We have planned to visit them at this time of the year next year. Hopefully, everything is good so this plan will be pursue.

Well, April and May months are fiestas months in the Philippines so I will expect a lot of my fellow Pinays/Pinoys will be talking on this matter.

Short Update After A Long Absence

Oh, I can't believe that I haven't been here in this blog for 4 days now. I felt guilty for not spending couple of minutes here. Actually, it goes with my other 2 blogs, Buzzing Around and Sweet Lullaby. I haven't been there also for around 2 days. Yes, I know, my absence here is longer than the other 2 blogs.

I am really out of time. We are crazy busy at work these days and my body sores so much from standing long hours that I need to lie down when I get home. I fell into a very long nap and usually woke up already around 9:00PM. If not for my husband waking me up to eat dinner, I may even sleep all the way in the morning, until my alarm went on.

It sounds crazy I know but it is true. Busy-ness and lazy-ness combined together makes the situation even worst. I know you know what I am talking about here... LOL

My Passion for Flowers

Wherever I go and if ever I am very tired, seeing flowers or being surrounded with flowers make my day brighter and lighter. I can't explain the wonderful feeling I feel every time I see flowers or be given one.

This is supposed to be a secret but I am sharing this. Receiving flowers or/with chocolates are one of my weaknesses. That is why, I guess (don't tell my husband, okay? hehehe), he was forced or obliged (hehehe) to send flowers and a couple of times with chocolates before when I was in the Philippines. hehehe... I made it clear to him before that I do lover flowers and I can't resist the charm of chocolates especially the ones with almonds... Darn, I do love those kinds of chocolates.... Hubby sometimes get on me for eating chocolates often... It's not healthy you know and not good for the weight... hahaha... winks :-)

Anyway, this flower was taken during our zoo trip.

Texans Facing Storm Aftermath

The severe thunderstorm that hits the Dallas/Fort Worth Metroplex left some of the cities dark and messy. Until now thousands of Texans don't have their electricity back yet. Some places are covered with trees that were either uprooted or cut trunks, electric posts and other mess from neighboring establishment.

As of now, the estimated cost of the damages has already reach 35 million dollars. To be specific, cities like Bedford, Plano and Fort Worth are the ones greatly affected by the devastating wind brought by a couple of tornado and severe thunderstorm.

Each cities greatly affected by that storm had been doing the clean-up process the day after the storm but it is not done yet as of today due to the big mess it has created. Electricity is believed to be back on weekends. Hopefully, it will....

Speaking From Deep Within

Wazz up everyone? Life is a bit busy here for me. Work is getting boring and very tiring. I am already on the hunt of new job. Hopefully, I can find one because I would really want to quit any moment. Sorry, if I am here again whining, venting or nagging. I have given these options as each of us here might classify this post differently from the others.

This is really one of the reasons why I love blogging. You have the place of your own to vent out, to cry loud or to just somewhat inform the people of your views on the hotta-hotta topics in the society. In addition to that, you also have the big chances to solicit ideas, suggestions and sympathy or empathy from people who have experience the same.

See how powerful words and blogging in these modern world? As for me, as long as I never step on someone shoes, I will always gladly express what I feel inside. I never hold back. Let it flow baby... Flaunt it if you have it dearest!!! LOL
